IIRC Beryl is an outlander, hence her inability to find the vampire who sired her, because her memories have been rewritten. Could this be a contradiction?

At the risk of muddying the waters further... There is one verifiable fact that could prove whether she's an outsider or not: If she has a book at Castle Avernus, she is. If not, not.
