Scatabrae

Scatabrae are "wellsprings of silence and terror," [1] that appear in the wilderness of Darkon. (also known as "Sinkholes of Silence"). They are temporary and range in diameter from a few hundred feet up to about a mile. They were first seen in the Mistlands [2], but apparently are now found throughout Darkon.
