A D&D Ravenloft adventure of suspenseful mystery and epic horror, with elements of Dragonlance and Planescape!
For D&D Fifth Edition, levels 8 to 12
By Michail Vartholomaios, 2025

Welcome adventurers, to the Rat King! This adventure is cross between dark fairy tales and fantasy! The adventure takes places primarily in Ravenloft, although you might see a location or two situated beyond its mists and false sky. This journey will have you meet the notorious Carnival, near the border of a domain called Richemulot! This almost 500-page adventure includes various places, predicaments and schemes waiting to be discovered by the characters, culminating in a veiled, dark plot that affects the fate of the entire domain and more!

To tackle the dark narratives inside, the characters may have to use their combat skills, wits or social cunning. They may have to work with heretics, parley with smugglers, cause a revolution or even employ the power of love! The narrative may well involve the reversal of certain political, or even greater, powers!

The adventure includes 12 landscape maps and 37 scene maps, with multiple versions, such as DM’s version, PCs’ version, squared, clean, etc. Besides the core adventure, this book includes a few new backgrounds, new trait and trinket tables, 70 new magic items, a couple of new spells and 72 monster stat blocks!

When you purchase this adventure you don’t just get the adventure PDF. You can also download every monster stat block and every version of a map as a separate picture! I hope you’ll enjoy this adventure!

I'd also like to thank everyone from the Fraternity and Kargatane who allowed me to use their material for this! Also, if Libertad ever decides to do a "Let's Read" of this book I'd be very honored! :)

This is monumental work - 500 pages adventure! I congratulate you and I wish you all the best for this and any future products. That an adventure of this size goes from 8th to 12th level speaks highly of the detail the book must have. Again, congratulations.

Allow me to add a few more things the author didn't. I will update as I check it - in the days to follow.

First, it is indeed about 500 pages! Second, it is clearly a product of love.
Second, as the author says, there are monsters, NPCs and maps that are pngs that can be used separatedly. The maps I have seen are nice and easy to use. The monster stats seem balanced.
