The third Eldritch blast and the bolt from Nathan crossbow reach their target with terrible force. The beast is finally knocked down, lying on the ground now, and breathing heavily. Although almost impossible to see within the rain, you can see blood springing from the body like from a fountain. Yet, the giant is defenseless, but not dead, and might recover if it isn't stopped.
Do you finish it?
[Tough decision, because this would be honourless and smell of dread...]

Breathing heavily, Nicolas sits on the grass for a moment after lifting Avra and Shana, catching his breath.
"I wasn't made for these exertions," he thinks to himself.
Then he hears Jarryd's shout. He grabs his crossbow up from the ground, where he had dropped it when he ran to prevent his companions from flying off the cliff. A sigh escapes as he mutters to himself, "No rest!"
He takes out another bolt, and loads it desperately. Just as he brings his weapon to bear on the monster, it is felled by the combined efforts of his other friends. Yet, before he can rejoice, Alain runs towards it. Fearing for his companion's safety, for that of all of his new partners, he shouts at Alain to dissuade him from closing with the beast.
"Alain! We have more important considerations now! Let's make it across the bridge. Leave the beast where he lies - he's no further threat to us."
Nicolas then heads towards the bridge, following his own advice. He stops to help the trembling young girl left at the edge of the bridge. Reaching out a hand to her, he smiles.
"Come with us...we will only help you." "I hope she speaks Mordentish..."
At that, he leads her across the bridge, towards where he left Lodissio lying...
[OOC: Isn't it still raining and miserable out here? Is the bridge unstable or slick?]

Not noticing that Nicolas is running back to the bridge, Jarryd makes his way towards Stoker. There is a huge opportunity to help Stoker, while the beast is fallen. Who kows how long will it be down anyway...
Jarryd reaches Stoker and sees that his arm is badly hurt. "Can you walk??" he asks Stoker, streching his arm to help him up. "We have to join the others on the other side of the bridge, c'mon, I'll help you.."
As they walk Jarryd can hope only one thing...May the gods keep the beast down until we've reached safe gorund...

Alain hears the shout from nicholas and stops to look to everyone else. He reallizes his hands are shakey with adrenaline and he exhales heavily and makes his way back to the group, sheathing his sword as he get a safe distance away from the fallen beast.Alarnik wrote:"Alain! What is coming over me? he thinks to himself
There are more important things to be cocerned with.
He makes his way back to the half frozen girl.
"Does anyone else have an extra blanket? or do you think good Monsieur Lodissio would mine if I take the extra one I gave him back for this Petite?"He asks the party.[/i]

Avra, pantng with the exertion of his near-death experience, appraises the situation. The beast, while down, may not be out of the picture. Perhaps I could subdue... No. Other things to worry us...
He Helps provide a blanket for the little girl, though he wonders what she would be doing out here, alone and unguarded... Ill=dressed for the cold... Too many inconsistencies. Avra then does what he can to help carry Lodissio.
"Let's move on then: there is nothing here we want to see...."

The girl, apparently too exhausted to speak a word, nods at Nicholas words and cowers into the blanket, trembling.
As Alain [and I guess Tavian and Nathan as well] turn towards the bridge, they hear a terrible sound of pain behind them. The beast, albeit half-dead, is slowly getting back to its feet!
[Jarryd and Stocker are right behind the giant, now cut off from the others, and nearly helpless if noone interferes!]

"İt's moving..!" Jarryd's voice reflects the sudden rush of fear he feels right now. "Hurry Stoker! we must make it to the bridge!"
With difficulty, Jarryd drags Stoker one step at a time. He feels the beast just behind them....at this rate thy won't make it anywhere.
Then he does the only thing he has left to do. "İ will hold the beast at bay while you run to the bridge...GO!" he tells Stoker letting him go.
İ hope he can make it... He runs toward the beast trying to distract it while Stoker makes it to the bridge.
"Over here!!!" Jarryd shouts to the beast, as he takes out his scimitar.

"Alas, The beast lives!"excaims Alain.
"But not for long, Lets finish this thing once and for all!"
Alain then again draws his long sword and readies for battle.
I do hope there is not much left in it...He thinks to himself.
With just Jarryd and myself to combat this thing, we should not have much hope as it is.
"Jarryd, Lets see if we can stay on opposite sides of him, if we can keep him guessing , we may have a chance. Also he should only be able to attack one of us at a time...in theory of course."

[So, if I understand you correctly, you try to rout the beast and to maneuver it into a position where it is unable to get you both?]
While you keep moving, the beast is confused, and roars in desperation, but doesn't attack one of you. The giant is really more dead than alive... A good time to run, it seems...
