Great video games to play with a Gothic atmosphere

I've been playing Tainted Grail, and it's got a lot of good inspiration for a domain. Basic idea without spoiling more than is in the intro trailer - After the continent was struck by a supernatural plague known as the Red Death, King Arthur lead his people to the Island of Avalon. Once there, they warred against the fae-like Fore-Dwellers for control of the Island, and to drive back the Wyrdness that would warp the land and people it touched.

Arthur was successful, but passed away about 200 years ago. Now the Wyrdness is returning, the kingdom is fracturing, and the Red Death has reached the island. You travel the land and see below the surface, and at the horrible things that were done by Arthur and Merlin in order to make the peace they wanted, along with seeing the unintended consequences of the same.

If you enjoy Skyrim style first person, it's a good game with a lot of extras that elevate combat (like a dash/dodge). Great mood, lots of dark quests. They've spent the last year getting the bugs out, and putting in a bunch of free DLC updates as well.

Shift at Midnight is a far stretch by any imagination. However, I only mention it because its procedure of going through mundane doldrums while contending with an apocalyptic invasion of doppelgangers did make me think of Zherisia. If you aren't meticulous, the doppelgangers reveal themselves and attack. By all means, something that could serve as inspiration for someone tracking such creatures
