Diamabel became a darklord for the mass murder of those who did not follow his creed or religion. He went on many such horrible crusades to bring glory to his [[deity]], seeking a higher communion with the divine. When Diamabel became a [[darklord]], he received an angelic transformation, but not quite as he'd hoped. By day, he appears as a [[holy]], angelic being.   By night, he appears as an [[undead]] horror known as [[The Black Herald]].<ref>[[Domains of Dread]] p.150</ref> This surprise has made Diamabel feel bitter and [[victim]]ized by the world, but he has redoubled his efforts to wipe out all the non-believers and [[heretic]]s in his land.<ref>[[Islands of Terror]] p. 58-60</ref><ref>[[Domains of Dread]] p. 106-107</ref>
