His lover [[Simbel]] died while he was away, leaving him grieving for the rest of his miserable life. He arose from the grave as a [[mummy]] and wandered the desert sands until a descendant of Simbel caught his attention. Tanit infiltrated [[Kalidnay City]] in the guise of [[Iurudef Hamid]], a traveling [[foreigner]]. After he kidnapped the poor woman, his true identity was discovered by [[Rudolph van Richten]] and his allies, but not before he made the girl his [[mummy]] bride.
