A '''bonespur''' is a type of [[undead]] animated by [[skull lord]]s and [[spellcaster]]s to do their bidding. Bonespurs are animated columns of [[bone]]s that attack via bone [[scythe]]s, although they can change into a [[rhinoceros]]-like form for charging or bull rushing opponents. Though bonespurs have [[animal]] level [[intelligence]], they show no special will to keep themselves living at the cost of destroying their foes. Thus, a bonespur will gleefully end its life running off a cliff to bull rush a foe.<ref>[[Monster Manual V]] p. 156-157</ref>

A bonespur can be created by a [[spellcaster]] of at minimum 8th level with a [[create undead]] spell cast upon six Medium size corpses or the equivalent.<ref>MM V p. 157</ref>
