			'''Hagspawn''' are monstrous humanoid males created when a hag falls pregnant and gives birth to a son, rather than a daughter. They inherit none of their mother's innate magical prowess, but instead are invariably tall, tough and strong, but also frequently cursed with hideous features. Typically abused by their mothers and shunned by humans, they tend to hate humankind and often fall in with other racial outcasts, such as half-orcs, half-ogres, tieflings or gnolls.

			They debuted in the Forgotten Realms setting and have not been mentioned to exist in the Demiplane of Dread by any canon sources. [[Caliban]]s, especially of the Brute or Witchspawn variety, would be a natural "native equivalent" to Hagspawn.
