	Now a [[~~ghost~~]], Isabella was the young daughter of [[Barovian]] nobles [[Lucian Falinescu]] and [[Glovia Falinescu]]. They lived together at the [[Falinescu Manor]] in [[Orașnou]]. Unfortunately, about a decade ago, young Isabella fell gravely sick and perished from the [[disease]] despite her mother's best efforts<ref name="The Marionette p. 7">[[The Marionette]] p. 7</ref>. Isabella rose as a (somewhat mischievous) [[ghost]] due to her mother's grief<ref>The Marionette p. 19</ref>, but Isabella's presence did little to assuage Glovia's dark emotions. They grew into an [[obsession]] with bringing Isabella back from the grave.
