[[Kayla Unger]] is the [[widow]] of [[Klaus Unger]], a [[cobbler]] residing in [[Delmunster]] at the time of the [[Falling Star of 737 BC]]. Klaus were replaced by a [[doppelganger plant podling]] controlled by the [[Doppelganger Plant of Delmunster]]. Kayla saw her husband wither away to nothing but a husk before he was [[buried]] in the [[Delmunster Cemetery]]. Kayla has yet to become a podling, but she has locked herself away in her home. She knows an [[evil]] is taking over the town, but not what. She has become [[paranoid]] against all except for her friends [[Myrna Wulch]] and [[Stella Lumpenstein]].
