Fiona Wachter is the wife of the now [[deceased]] [[Nikolai Sr.]] and the mother of [[Stella Wachter]] as well as [[Nikolai and Karl Wachter]]. She absolutely adored her husband whom perished several [[year]]s ago to [[disease]], but she keeps his [[corpse]] in their [[bed]] and preserves it nightly with [[gentle repose]]. Fiona sleeps with her dead husband each night. However, her relationships with her actual living relatives are horrible. Fiona's [[cruel]] and abusive exploitation of her daughter Stella ultimately caused the girl to become [[mad]] and think she is a [[cat]], so Fiona keeps Stella confined. Nikolai and Karl are all too eager to get away and get drunk during the day to avoid their mother's barbs.
