			Lisl was the cousin of fellow [[giomorgo]] [[Sebestyen]]. Both were [[outcast]]s among the [[Vistani]] people due to their mixed blood parentage.

			Eventually, Sebestyen encountered the [[outlander]] [[Captain Hans Eckert]] and was [[manipulated]] into revealing the location of a large [[silver]] shipment at the [[Wagner Family]] mines in [[Barovia]]. After Captain Eckert struck Sebestyen dead, he [[dominated]] Lisl and forced her to become his [[guide]] to Barovia. (Captain Eckert had eventual plans to make her his [[:category:Slave-Concubine\|slave-concubine]] once they escaped Barovia and Captain Eckert became [[wealthy]] again.) Hans' brother [[Wilm Eckert]], whom was also dominated, objected to the abuse Hans put upon Lisl, and so Wilm became subject to Hans' abuse as well. However, the shared situation of abuse and exploitation allowed Wilm and Lisl to grow a bond that eventually matured into love.

			Eventually, Hans was slain by [[Jezra Wagner]]. His destruction freed both Wilm and Lisl from their former control, and they fled the area.
