A minor character from [[Heaven's Bones]], Mistress Penhallow was one of the [[Penhallow family]] of [[St. Agnes]] and the mother of [[Jory Penhallow. Jory found the dying [[Vistana]] [[Jaelle Vadoma]] and brought her back to his [[stone]] [[cottage]] to receive first aid. When Jaelle awoke, she predicted a collapse of the [[Weald Hole]] [[mine]] and said not to send any of Jory's relatives down there. [[Mistress Penhallow]] heeded her prediction spread word to the rest of St. Agnes, which prevented any loss of the town's inhabitants in the collapse that day. Mistress Penhallow also commanded her son to get rid of [[the knife that knows Tibor Vadoma|the knife Jory found on Jaelle]]. However, he couldn't bring him to abandon something potentially of value, so he stowed it away inside a drawyer, where it was found many years later by a [[young]] [[Artemis Donovan]] and [[Dirk Penhallow]].

Jory eventually married Jaelle and they sired many descendants, collectively known as [[Jaelle's Breed]]. Jory Penhallow went on to live the rest of his life with Jaelle.
