Naadir has survived for an astounding six months. He has an eidetic memory and a quick wit. He has kept the [[Herald of Night]] distracted with the hundreds of tales and songs which he knows. To expand his repertoire even further, [[Umaira al-Mourad]], granddaughter to the [[Seneschal of the Gleaming Hall]], has been providing Naadir with books from the [[University of Phiraz]].<ref name="QtR30_p325_326" /><br />
