			Narek was born to a concubine of [[Kas]] but took to the study of [[arcane magic]] and eventually became a [[student]] of [[Vecna]]. [[Jealous]] of his master's attention, Kas [[imprisoned]] Narek away, and Vecna soon thereafter turned his wandering attentions elsewhere. Isolated and alone, Narek attempted arcane rituals to escape his imprisonment but only succeeded in transforming himself into a corrupt abomination.<ref>[[Vecna Reborn]] p. 28-29</ref>
