	Pierce Decker was a [[philosopher]] who was to attend the [[lecture]] given by [[Professor Abraham Van Helsing]] in [[Boston]]. Like Van Helsing, Dekker had been [[kidnapped]] by the [[illithid drone]]s, but Van Helsing freed him as he escaped. However, Dekker's liberation turned out to come to late, as Dekker [[transformed]] into one of the illithid drones. He began [[murder]]ing [[sailor]]s of the [[ship]] they had retreated ~~to from the drones~~ while Van Helsing had entered a ~~trace~~ to read an [[illithid]] [[book]].
