An origin story for the [[hag]]s as told to [[Dr. van Richten]] by [[Mason]], a native of [[Sithicus]]. It describes how a race of [[ogre]]s once ruled the world during an era called the [[Age of Dreams]]. [[Lurrhein]] believed that the ogres had made too much progress and should stop their over-reaching. Her influence was so much that the [[evil]] [[deities]] of her world [[cursed]] her and [[transformed]] her into a hideous abomination. Her kin [[exile]]ed her. Eventually she went [[mad]] and became little more than a bloodthirsty [[mass murderer]]. Yet, in her [[lonely|loneliness]], she would spare some of her [[prisoner]]s and [[enthrall]] them. The children she had from these couplings would become the first [[hag]]s<ref>[[Van Richten's Monster Hunter's Compendium III]] p.193-194</ref>
