	The Vapir is a secondary antagonist from the Ravenloft product line novel, [[Shadowborn]]. In universe, she was a [[cleric]] and one of the [[Dark Triad]], three of the last [[Ahltrian]] following the [[Heretical Wars]]. Following the end of that war and the banishment of [[Ebonbane]] from the mortal world, the Vapir and the others of the Triad attempted to summon Ebonbane back to the mortal world and place his essence into a [[sword]] [[prison]]. Ebonbane ~~showed~~ they were only successful in binding him to the [[sword]]. In [[626 BC]], [[Alexi Shadowborn]], [[Lysander Greylocks]], [[Dasmaria Eveningstar]], and [[Ferran Shadowborn]] ventured into [[the Demiplane of Dread]] and confronted the ghouls there. [[The Vapir]] demonstrated powerful abilities of [[domination]] and managed to control both Lysander and Ferran for a time, but her mind control was eventually broken. Her ability to rapidly jump from one point or the next prevented her from sharing [[the Ghoul Lord]]'s fate: destruction by [[Corona]]'s magic light. The Vapir escaped the Ghoul Lord's doom, only to be trampled to death by [[Pitch]], Alexi's [[mount]].<ref>p. 204-225</ref>
