After seeing his beloved parents and cousin perish, Xavier became [[obsessed]] with preserving things forever. His first victim was [[Isabella Carmini]], a fellow violinist who regretted that her ability to play would not last forever. A few days later, a [[violin]] was found, made of her body parts and accompanied by a note from the Maestro, saying that she would now play forever.
