The Invasion of the Neureni Horde occurred in roughly 230 BC. The Neureni Horde invaded Prime Material Barovia from the east through the Svalich Pass. It advanced as far as Vallaki where General-Princess Nicoleta von Zarovich routed it after a three-month siege. It held Barovian territory for a total of seven months.

The horsemen who settle in Gundarak were possibly kin to the barbarian of the Neureni Horde. The death god of Gundarakite, Erlin, is very likely one with the demon lord of the Neureni, Irlek-Khan.
