In life Ahmose Tanit was an adventurer and priest from Kalidnay who lived several hundred years ago. His lover Simbel died while he was away, leaving him grieving for the rest of his miserable life. He arose from the grave as a mummy and wandered the desert sands until a descendant of Simbel caught his attention. Tanit infiltrated Kalidnay City in the guise of Iurudef Hamid, a traveling foreigner. After he kidnapped the poor woman, his true identity was discovered by Rudolph van Richten and his allies, but not before he made the girl his mummy bride. Van Richten and colleagues put them both to rest together, but he warns that if they are disturbed, they could rise again.[1]
