Echer Degault was a Falkovnian soldier tracking some kobolds in the Seelewald. However, he was separated from the rest of his unit by the Mists. After wandering the forest for several days, Echer encountered a nymph, and the beauty of the sight blinded him. When he caught up with his fellow soldiers, he was punished, his face scarred, and his limbs maimed. He abandoned his wife and children to relocate the nymph.
