An obedient is born when a victim fails three successive saving throws against the dominate supernatural special ability of Dominic d'Honaire. The effect of being dominated becomes permanent. It is ended only if the victim quits Dementlieu or if the victim fails a saving against a mind-influencing effect from a source other than Dominic. The obedient, however, comes with the passing of the years to be increasingly resistant to inflence from other sources.[1]
