Henry Essem is the darklord of Session Road. A rich businessman, he wanted to build a mercantile trade center upon a hallowed memorial. Despite protests by the people of Session Road (led by a woman named Juanita de Guia), Essem was able begin construction on his edifice. Work on it was haunted and sabotaged by displeased ghosts. However, Essem blamed the protestors and ordered construction to continue despite the accidents and loss of lives.[1]
Things came to head when he engineered the massacre of many of the protestors and their leader. The Mists claimed Session Road and turned it into a floating pocket domain. Essem's building was abandoned by all, save for Essem. Although he is now "baron" of Essem, he will never see his building finished.[2]
