Located in Williams Bay, Wisconsin and the research facility ran by George Ellery Hale. The Observatory is named after Charles T. Yerkes, a wealthy man George Hale convinced to fund the construction of the observatory. Unknown to Yerkes or most people, George Hale's true reason for seeing the construct of the observatory is to install a secret laboratory beneath it.[1]
