Ester Timothy

Ester Timothy was a werewolf who was born to Cain Timothy and Elizabeth Timothy, both werewolves, in 660 BC in Mordent. Her litter mates were Eowin Timothy and Sean Timothy. She was the aunt of Anton Boritsi, Ivana Boritsi and Sulo Boritsi, not werewolves, and Irene Timothy and Nathan Timothy, both werewolves, and the great aunt of Thomas Dobbs, Alfred Timothy, Ester Timothy (daughter of Nathan), and William Timothy, all werewolves. She married Richtor Dilisnya who wasn't a werewolf. As part of a litter of three, Virginia Dilisnya was born to the couple in 682 BC. And Clifford Dilisnya was born to the pair 687 BC, also a werewolf. There were seven grandchildren, including Michael Ratcliff and Winifred Ratcliff, both werewolves. It is unlikely that Anna would have cared to raise her offspring on the Dilisnya Estate in northern Mordent, under the same roof with so many potential enemies to the survival of her children and herself. It is possible that Richtor and Ester immigrated to Borca in the years following its formation in 684 BC, at once invited by Camille and drawn by the prospect of being recognised as nobles of Borca. Richtor was among those poisoned to death in 698 BC by Camille on the occasion of the funeral of her fourth husband, Oleh Fortich. Ester died in 707 BC, survived by both Clifford and Virginia. Eowin, Ester and Sean were named after the members of a famous litter from the prior century.

Continuity Problem

The Bloodlines family tree for the Timothy Family in Realm of Terror gives 660 BC as the birth date for Eowin Timothy, Ester Timothy and Sean Timothy. From this birth date follow those of their children, Virginia Dilisnya (682 BC), Clifford Dilisnya (687 BC), Irene Timothy (684 BC), and Nathan Timothy (684 BC), and those of their grandchildren, Winifred Ratcliff (706 BC), Michael Ratcliff (706 BC) and Alfred Timothy (709 BC), Ester Timothy (daughter of Nathan) (709 BC) and William Timothy (709 BC).

Unfortunately, Ravenloft II: The House on Gryphon Hill places a Eowin Timothy (I10 NPC) and a Sean Timothy (I10 NPC) in Mordent in 579 BC when Strahd and Azalin made their visit. There is also an Esther Timothy (I10 NPC), albeit spelled with an 'h'. An attempt in the Realm of Terror to address the matter is made insofar as Cain Timothy and Elizabeth Timothy, the parents of Eowin, Ester and Sean, are put in that time in place of their children, with Cain Timothy being born in 537 BC and Elizabeth Timothy being born in 539 BC. This attempt is deeply flawed however. Not only are the children born over a century after their parents, the death dates of the parents are given as 579 BC, eight decades before their children are in fact born. The cleanest solution is to conclude that the correct birth dates for Cain and Elizabeth are 637 BC and 639 BC with the pair meeting a sticky end in 679 BC (perhaps along side their son Sean Timothy) and that the Timothys from the prior century were a famous litter of three whose names were recycled by descendants in the naming of the litter of 660 BC.
