Named after its former wielder Tyenn, this reflective shield is a magical but cursed shield that diverts danger from its wielder to allies.
Origin
In the outlander land of Faerun, the champion against darkness known as Tyenn gained the enmity of the villain mercantile cartel known as the Zhentarim. The Zhents comissioned drow wizards to create a cursed shield for him to find. Later, the shield ended up in the Black Vault of Azalin Rex.
Powers
Tyenn's shield is a +3 shield that diverts ranged weapons, gaze attacks, and breath attacks to other targets allied to the shield's bearer.
Curse
Beyond the dangers it confers upon those whom ally with the shield's bearer, the shield has the normal properties of a cursed item. It inflicts increasing combat penalties until used. Once equipped, its bearer will not under their own free will discard it.
