A noble family of Barovia dating back to its pre-domain days on the Prime Material Plane.[1][[Burgomaster Dagmar Olavnya is mentioned in I, Strahd p. 203, 219</ref> According to the 4th Edition module, Strahd had an out-of-wedlock tryst with a woman bearing this surname, producing a line of descendants that eventually went to Yelena Olavnya Aresek (Fair Barovia).[2]
