Waff, or shadow dryads, are an obscure breed of the Arak. Like normal dryads after which they are nicknamed, each waff's life force is linked to a single tree, though one that has become tainted, warped, or even dead. Unlike a dryad, a waff is a gaseous entity of pure shadowstuff. It lives by sucking out the life of its victims.[1]
