Maia is a beautiful and deadly woman who leads an all-woman tribe of Amazon warriors. An extreme misandrist, she permits no man to enter her island domain without torturing, killing, or transforming them into predatory animals that obey her every command. the Mists bring women to her domain, whom she trains and inducts into her entourage. However, Maia is cursed to suffer from the incursion of evil men from the outside and to see the death of her followers over and over again.[1]
