The Rite of Revelation is the method the Church of Ezra uses to recognize new bastions, developed in response to and some time after the First Schism of 698 BC.

The Rite of Revelation requires prospective Bastions to do the following:

  • Write a new Book of Ezra, which will serve as canon for the sect, and deliver a copy to the Great Cathedral of Levkarest, for the review and approval of the Praesidius;
  • Manifest a previously unseen variety of the shield of Ezra; and
  • Find five anchorites who manifest an identical shield of Ezra.[1]
