Liesl Protchen led an evil coven of witches dedicated to the service of the Straw God in Goldendale. However, she was eventually caught by soldiers and executed. This action angered the Straw God, and it blighted the town's crops. Liesl's husband Vendi Protchen would reestablish the Cult of the Straw God by murdering the priest of the Crop-Watcher.[1]
