A necrosis carnex is an undead mass of flesh and limbs held together by cold iron bands. No two of these unholy amalgamations appear completely the same. They are created by necromancers and other reanimators as healers for the undead. A necrosis carnex has a basic level of intelligence, allowing it to use its negative energy touch to heal other damaged undead and damage the living as appropriate. When destroyed, a necrosis carnex explodes in negative energy that heals the undead and damages the living simultaneously.[1]

According to the typology of Walking Dead put forth in Van Richten's Guide to the Walking Dead, the necrosis carnex qualifies as an Obedient Dead. Likely salient abilities include Fearsome Speed, Leaping, Spider Climb, and Life Sense.[2]
