Seelie was a barmaid who married the disfigured, crippled dwarf known as Almadrask. Purportedly only marrying him for his vast wealth, Seelia engaged in a secret tryst with another lover. Almadrask eventually discovered hints of being cuckolded, so he warned Seelia not to tarry with other men again else she be cut off from Almadrask's wealth. Instead of cooperating, Seelie abandoned Almadrask to go to sea with her adulterous lover. This act of betrayal left Almadrask broken and bitter, and he levied a curse upon the ships passing through the nearby town of Faeyalot before jumping to his death[1]
