Events
- Repeated raids by the bitterkinder upon merchant caravans and travelers along the Merchant's Way motivate a group of merchants to create a slash and burn operation clearing a treeless swath around the path between Har-Thelen and the border with Kartakass. This causes the Merchant's Way to be nicknamed the Merchant's Slash.[1][2]
- Claude Renier is killed by his daughter Jacqueline Renier, who becomes the darklord of Richemulot.[3]
- George Weathermay leaves his home to fight evil and help the people of the Land of Mists.[4]
Dr. Van Richten, George Weathermay, and Arametrius travel to Sanguinia. There they meet Claudia DeShanes and enlist her aid as a spiritualist in their adventure in that land. Following its completion, Claudia signs on as Dr. van Richten's assistant.[5]- The Kantora Strangler is apprehended, identified as Talgaard Bolshnik, and institutionalized at the Clinic for the Mentally Distressed.[6]
