Falkfuhrer Jardian Kovedknochen

Jardian Kovedknochen is Falkovnia's Minister of Finance and Trade. He leads the Ministry of Finance and Trade, which is the ministry of the Falkovnian state responsible for oversight in tax collection and monetary expenditures for Falkovnia's military efforts. Under Falkfuhrer Jardian's leadership, the ministry has established an infamous trade colony program of merchant installations protected by armed guards. While the trade colonies bring much valued coinage to Falkovnia's coffers, Jardian also sees the colonies' potential in empire building.

Falkovnia's plentiful grain fields have been a great source of revenue for Drakov's war chest, if not for Falkovnia in general. Management of finances is so far removed from military minds that Jardian's gifts languished in obscurity until he hit upon the prospect of building trade colonies in foreign countries. Apart from an abortive attempt in Kartakass, the first has been in Karina for about six years, and a second is being built in Lamordia. Of course, the goodwill required to arrange such a deal is scarce in other countries, but this concept has earned the attention of Vlad Drakov and placed Jardian securely in the Kingfuhrer's inner circle.

Jardian's role as Minister of Finance also places him over the slave market. Jardian has taken great pains to maximize the market value of nonhumans, and has offset some of the burden of raising slave children by enlisting various independent charities, especially the Hala worshippers at the Hospice of Bowed Heads. Charities raise the children from birth through age five in exchange for decreased taxes. This program has decreased slave infant mortality by a factor of almost 50% and promoted better relationships with the religious communities in Falkovnia.

Kovedknochen's daughter Revka joined Kara's Daughters just out of Stangengrad, and has attained the rank of Soldeleutnant.
