The Children of Wrath is a secret society of Sithican elves who have rebelled against the rule of Lord Soth and later Azrael Dak.[1] The group has two factions with different goals and methods. The first and original faction is comprised mostly of older elves who reside in the wilderness, druids, rangers, and the like. Their leadership is decentralized and their resistance is largely unplanned, mostly deposing Dak's tax collectors, robbing them, and then dispersing their monies to the needy. This faction recognizes Helvath Makira as their leader.[2]

The newer faction is mostly comprised of urban criminals, fugitives, refugees, and others who have had more direct conflict with the state. The urban faction of the Children of Wrath are better organized than the wilderness branch: networks of small but interconnected cells. Both the goals and the methods of the urban faction are also more extreme. Their leader, Narwin E'tallin hopes for nothing less than bloody revolution, resulting in the scourging of all non-elves from Sithicus.[3]

Although previously united in goals, the rancor between two factions of the Children of Wrath is simmering to a boil. A split or even a violent coup attempt may be in the near future.[4] At present, the half-elf bard Elkarah Nath relays communication between Makira and E'tallin.[5]
