Eliza is a Vistani girl, who was killed and transformed into a vampire by Felix Hoyer. Her mother Awilda and several other Vistani freed her from Hoyer's clutches, but too late. Awilda could not stomach destroying her daughter, so she let Eliza escape into the wilderness outside of town.[1]
Eliza feeds exclusively on animal blood, which leaves her in a weakened state for a vampire.[2]
