Vinaash Schlosser

Vinaash Schlosser is the sixth persona of the Tanar'ri Devoratrix known as the Red Haunt. This persona makes its first non-speaking appearance in Quoth the Raven Issue 28, The Conferences of Victor Gagné V.

Appearance

As a Devoratrix, Vinaash Schlosser is a supernatural shapeshifter, but she has a preferred form. In this form she appears as a roughly middle-aged Rajian woman, her hair tied back in an elegant braid. Vinaash prefers to wear a dark sari, the cloth unadorned but of obvious quality. A single, red dot in the middle of her forehead denotes her as being a married woman.

History

Vinaash Schlosser was born out of the Red Haunt's essence after a time of considerable mental and spiritual exertion in the Wartorn Cluster. The fiend was in need of time to re-center itself and restore what passes for balance in the mind of such a chaotic creature. The Red Haunt retired for a time to Sri Raji to engage in meditation and self-study. Vinaash Schlosser came to be due to the fiend finding tranquility in her meditations on the Shadow Weave[1], where she found an unholy tranquility and dark enlightenment.

Vinaash has maintained a presence in Sri Raji, where she has studied and now teaches classes at the Great University of Tvashti. She feigns being married to a Wolfwere minion, himself disguised as a minor Brahmin, in order to make up for some of her 'eccentricities', while managing business for the Centurions of the Night and teaching her own cadre of students.

Personality

Vinaash possesses a calm and tranquility that none of the Red Haunt's other personas possess. Her insight into the complexities of the Shadow Weave is unmatched, and for this she receives a great deal of respect from Mother and her 'sisters'. She is focused on achieving the most complete understanding possible of the Shadow Weave, and is content to let her underlings act freely so long as their actions do not interfere with her work or her assumed identity in Rajian society.
