Anna Sparatoga is the darklord of Okraina. She is a young woman who made a deal with a fiend named Chort, selling her soul for magical power.[1] She met the elder of a nearby village and decided to marry him for the power. Calling upon her fey allies, she arranged the murder of her disapproving father, the village elder's wife, and his daughter, so that she could be the adulterous elder's new wife.[2]
Anna's curse is to have her Charisma drain away for every week she does not perform an obscene ritual ultimately ending with the murder of a young man.[3]
Chort lingers, trapped in this domain as much as Anna is. He cannot strike at her, for she has his phylactery.[3]
