Sadie was a slave to Dr. Alistair Weldon and his family on the Riverbend plantation in Alabama, where she worked as a house slave and a maid. Sadie was a very good friend, almost like a sister to Frances Weldon. One day Sadie was taken away to be one of Alistair's experiments, where she was subsequently [murdered]]. Her body was eventually buried, allowing her to pass to the afterlife. However, she appeared as a spirit once to Frances' ghost and told her the reason she hadn't passed on too is that her bones were never located, having been stolen by foxes after the fire that consumed the plantation.[1]
