Yagno Petrovna (Chibiloft)

This individual is a Chi-Folken who was created out of the Mists to reflect the original Yagno Petrovna, darklord of G'Henna. Unlike the human who served as his model, this Yagno Petrovna is the demilord of G'Henna province in the domain of Madego. He is first mentioned in the article "Little Horrors".

History

It can be safely assumed that this version of Yagno Petrovna acted in lockstep with his human counterpart until the Grand Conjunction of 740 BC. At that date, the Chi-Folken Yagno was drawn to the area that would soon come to be known as the dealul zeiței. Here, he witnessed Lupta dancing upon the land in conjunction with the Chi-Folken ancestral spirits.

Contrary to what might be expected, the Chi-Folken Yagno was deeply moved by the sight and added his efforts to those of several Spirit-worshippers and Dwimmerlaerer already making music in support of the (from their perspective) colossal dancer and the spirits, thus securing the support of the Madego branch of the Church of Zhakata as well. In the wake of the Night of Music, with G'Henna province now a verdant breadbox instead of the starving dustbowl it has been, Yagno proclaimed that Lupta had actually been a manifestation of Zhakata the Provider, and stated Zhakata the Devourer was now apocryphal.

Current Sketch

Yagno has converted away from the false god Zhakata to the worship of Lupta, although he fully believes her to be the Provider; in many ways, he is as delusional as he ever was. The fact that his devotion has cost him his divine spellcasting power due to alignment differences and his new permissiveness towards worship of the ancestral Spirits ... surprisingly does not disturb him. With G'Henna province transformed into a prosperous and verdant land, he believes that his faith has been confirmed and rewarded, and he no longer needs magic because his work is done.

Ever since the destruction of the rogue nation of Falkovnia in the years following the Night of Music, it appears that Yagno is slipping into tranquil senility. He is content to perform regular rituals and hold rambling sermons to honour the Provider, to witness his province blossom and thrive, and to occasionally order the creation of new statues to praise his deity. The clergy beneath him appears to be content to let him live, both because he has largely ceased to be a threat and to maintain stability in the Church and the province.
