Among the many caves beneath the Kodru Mountains of Sanguinia, seven of them are considered sacred to the hillfolk of Sanguinia. Within these caves, the spirits of the hillfolk are at their greatest strength.[1]
When Sanguinia entered the Land of the Mists, many of the hillfolk sought shelter in the Seven Sacred Caves, relying upon the spirits to protect them. There they entered a supernatural hibernation, sleeping until the evil upon their land was lifted.[1]
