Tong Dao is an ancient kingdom originally from the Prime Material Plane, now a Ravenloft domain. Ling Mei is its darklord and a princess, her father the ruler. Ling Mei's curiosity and obsession with pain and suffering is what led to performance torture becoming something of a national pastime, even art form, in Tong Dao.[1]
