At the risk of muddying the waters further... There is one verifiable fact that could prove whether she's an outsider or not: If she has a book at Castle Avernus, she is. If not, not. IIRC Beryl is an outlander, hence her inability to find the vampire who sired her, because her memories have been rewritten. Could this be a contradiction?
