Details
Taxidermy is the preparation of the carcasses of creatures for display in private residences, museums, and even public buildings. Stuffed animals, and stuffed creatures generally, are the fruit of taxidermy. Taxidermry is part skinning, part tanning, and part anatomy, with a dash of artistic creation and naturalism thrown in for good measure. Taxidermists are frequented in particular by hunters of big game.
