Meteors or falling stars are celestial bodies that fall from the heavens, usually burning rapidly away to nothing but occasionally surviving their fiery plunge to crash land upon the ground.
A falling star in 737 BC proved to be, or to contain, a doppleganger plant that devastated the thorp of Delmunster in eastern Falkovnia. (Dungeon #38, p. 48.)
