There are at least three electromagnetics device in the Land of Mists: the lightning box, the laboratory pump, and electrical generator. It is possible that their inventor, Dr. Victor Mordenheim, has applied in other devices the principles of electromagnetic induction either to create electricity on a greater scale or to use existing electrical energy to do work of another sort. Emil Bollenbach has improved the electrical generator, making it a viable source of energy.
Faith Hold features a lightning harvesting system that is used to power "engines" [1], but their nature, whether mechanical or electromagnetic, is unknown. Easan the Mad also collects electrical energy from lightning for storage in what are presumably alchemical batteries for eventual use as power for some of his invention. But it is again not clear that their nature is electromagnetic rather than magical.
