Darrell Holmes was the butler of Burton Wescote and resided in Wescote Manor. In 743 BC, his employer, the last of the Wescotes, died. Darrell had been something of an adventurer in his youth and was a trained fighter, He conceivably might have died at his master's side if the latter's death was provoked by violence. Otherwise, Darrel's fate is unknown
